Notes Probably Old Bailey, t17810711-3 and also Mrs Duffield, publican, mentioned in 1783 ( t17830723-103). Hannah was the sister of Levy (Lyon). She also went by the name Hannah Lyon. Son George Dudfield was tried at the Old Bailey in 1820 (t18200517-68) for coining, not guilty. A George Dudfield was transported to Tasmania in 1825 on the ship Medina (Archives Office, Tasmania, database 20258). This George was frequently in trouble, eg. in 1838, R. v. Dudfield, Supreme Court of Van Diemen’s Land, Pedder C.J., 26 January 1838, Source: Hobart Town Courier, 2 February 1838, Before a Military Jury.
