Do, please, also bear in mind that, when these records were created,\u00a0 there could have been no thought that they would one day be reconfigured into searchable databases and published on the Internet, for the benefit of the ever-increasing number of avid Anglo-Jewish Genealogists, many living in far-flung continents!\u00a0 The scribes of the day worked in dull, dusty corners using quill pen and ink by the light of a flickering candle.
